We are very pleased to announce our involvement in a new film project chronicling the history and legacy of the science fiction convention known originally as TimeGate and then WHOlanta. Co-founded by kOZMIC owner and author R. Alan Siler, the convention ran for 17 years, from 2005 to 2021. Next year will be the 20th anniversary of the convention’s origin. This film will reveal some of the behind-the-scenes stories of how the con came about, its growth over the years, and the circumstances of its ending told through archival video footage and photos never before seen by the public plus brand-new interviews with con-runners, volunteers, and guests.
kOZMIC is partnering with Minty Pineapple, Everyman Productions, and FWDPWR in the creation of this film. The filmmakers have launched an Indiegogo campaign to help fund this project. Please donate if you can! We are also asking for donations of any video footage from any year of the convention, especially the early years.

We plan to release the film with a premiere screening in Atlanta in May, the month during which the convention was traditionally held.
