#56 – The Rock Hall Nominations

https://www.podbean.com/media/share/pb-ygkzi-138b8d3

This week the Modern Musicology crew — joined by our good friend Gerry Schramm of the Something For Nothing Podcast — takes a look at the recently announced nominated artists for the 2023 class of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! The nominees are (in alphabetical order): Kate Bush, Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliott, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Cyndi Lauper, George Michael, Willie Nelson, Rage Against the Machine, Soundgarden, The Spinners, A Tribe Called Quest, The White Stripes, and Warren Zevon. Who deserves to get in this year? Who do we think will definitely get in, but maybe not this year? Who are some other artists that we feel should be included but don’t think will ever be nominated?

More importantly — What do YOU think?? Who are your favorites? Who do you think shouldn’t get in? Do you think the Rock Hall is a complete sham?? Let us know!
